History Of Victory Fellowship International

The history of A.I.I.C.S.F. runs back to 1983 when it was officially launched.

The primary aim was to promote evangelism among University students and the natives of India as well.

Believers of African origin met in December 1983 in Udaipur (Rajastan). They shared the vision together and henceforth organized many evangelistic and revival meetings in many cities of India. As a result, today A.I.I.C.S.F. has about 40 affiliated fellowships in different cities of India. The A.I.I.C.S.F. has been organizing conferences twice a year both in June and December. In these meetings many servants of God from India and abroad minister the word of God. It is a great chance for the locals to hear the gospel and for brethren from all fellowships to gather as one. Many believers have been taught, delivered, revived, encouraged and strengthened in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. A.I.I.C.S.F. secured its registration as an autonomous body in June 1994. It is important to note as indicated in our beliefs and doctrines that the Bible is our ultimate constitution. For harmony in working together as a team.It is good to have some governing procedures on how to go around duties in order to achieve our goals for the glory and honor of God.

The history of the constitution of A.I.I.C.S.F. dates back to the days of its birth. Formerly, various fellowships used to have their own constitutions till 1987 during the 'Pune Declaration' in which leaders from A.I.I.C.S.F. branch fellowships came up with one solid constitution, to govern all affiliated fellowships. However, it is noteworthy that this can be flexible, depending on the needs and situations of a local fellowship. To touch on a few provisions of the constitution as regards some important matters such as the tenure of office, it is stated that the tenure should be one year after which new leaders should be chosen. The incumbent committee does choosing of leaders annually. This should be done before the Annual Main Convention. In case of an irregularity, mismanagement, indiscipline, any diversion form the Truth, the constitution gives the Central Board powers to suspend, supercede or dissolve any fellowship and normal functioning of the day-to-day administration of the fellowship. On discipline of individual members in local fellowships, the constitution states, "We believe the Bible is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God." So as a Body of believers, every member is expected to follow and walk as a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

To the branch fellowships it makes it clear that no local fellowship should divert from the leadership of A.I.I.C.S.F. For submission and obedience to the established, authority is expected. A.I.I.C.S.F. leaders' meetings are where resolutions are passed. The constitution requires 1/3 of the total number of leaders i.e. Overseers, Secretaries and Treasurers as the case may be. In case of failure of any fellowship to send delegates to the meetings for any reason, whatsoever decisions taken in their absence are valid and binding just as if the were present.

The A.I.I.C.S.F. constitution rules that every act, deed or thing done by the Central Board must be as written in the Bible.
